In the framework of international cooperation for development and expansion of scientific and practical relations of the Tashkent medical Academy with foreign medical institutions, on November 23, 2017 was organized a visit of leadership of ophthalmological medical institution of the Republic of Korea “Siloam Eye Hospital”, consisting of Professor Chu Yong Kwang – chief doctor of the clinic and Dr. Choi Jung Bum – assistant of the chief doctor, a leading surgeon of the clinic.
For information: Clinic “Siloam Eye Hospital” was established in 1986 and currently is the leading medical institution of the Republic of Korea dealing with the problems of blindness and other ophthalmic diseases. In the course of the visit negotiations were held with the rector of TMA -Professor L.N.Tuychiev on joint implementation of programs to improve the qualifications and training of ophthalmologists of the Academy in the Republic of Korea, as well as attracting leading specialists of the Clinic “Siloam Eye Hospital” for practical training of masters in ophthalmology during their learning process in TMA. Further, in the framework of the visit, the Korean experts were conducting a lecture on topical issues and modern methods of treatment in ophthalmology and eye microsurgery in the Department of eye diseases of the Academy. This visit allowed to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation and realization of joint educational and scientific-practical programs and also contributed to the establishment of close relations between medical specialists and scientists in the field of ophthalmology of two institutions.
