In the framework of the visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Education and Science, the Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Let’s Do It Together Movement, G.G. Onishchenko, a meeting of this outstanding doctor with TMA students took place.
For reference: G.G. Onishchenko – head of the department of human ecology and environmental hygiene at the University named after Sechenov, epidemiologist, doctor of medical sciences, professor, honored doctor of the Russian Federation, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Member of the Russian political party “United Russia”.
For more than 17 years he was the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation.
The event with the participation of the distinguished guest began with a meeting with the leadership of the academy, during which the parties discussed the development of medical education at the present stage.
Further, Gennady Grigorievich met with students and the teachers staff of the Tashkent Medical Academy and lead a lecture on the topic: «Combating Infectious Diseases. New challenges and new opportunities» .
During the lecture, prof. Onishchenko G.G. revealed the most relevant methods of combating infectious diseases, discussed with the participants the importance of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being, and also answered questions of students and teachers of TMA.
The organization of such lectures by prominent medical specialists of the modernity in TMA motivates young medical personnel and future medical specialists to achieve high goals in the protection of public health.
Work on the wide involvement of leading foreign medical specialists in the educational process of TMA continues.
