During his earlier trip to the Khorezm region President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had urged officials to create a memorial park after Jaloliddin Manguberdi in the city of Urgench. A project proposal developed in connection with that instruction has been presented today.
The head of state examined the layout of the future monument, noted that it must be majestic and high so that it can be seen from afar.
Together with responsible executives, the President discussed the concept of the park.
“Jaloliddin Manguberdi was a great commander, and is the pride of our nation. And the park, respectively, should be scaled, substantial. It is essential to reflect here Manguberdi’s struggle for freedom, his battles. Let people come here not only to admire the monument, but also to seek knowledge, inspiration, let tourists study our history,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Instructions were given to revise and carefully rethink over the project, to take into account the convenience for traffic around.
