Today, the first Uzbekistan-Malaysia Education Forum, under the theme “Opportunities and Initiatives in Higher Education for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals,” was officially opened with the national anthems of both countries.
At the opening ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, and the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, Zambry Abdul Kadir, delivered speeches, highlighting the strong partnership established between the two countries in the field of higher education. They also emphasized the importance of expanding relations between higher education institutions, developing academic mobility programs, implementing joint educational programs, and increasing the scope of scientific research in the future.
Following this, the cultural segment of the forum began. A concert program featuring artists from Uzbekistan and Malaysia uplifted the participants’ spirits and created an opportunity for a deeper cultural exchange between the two nations.
During the forum, experts in the field delivered presentations on various topics and put forward several initiatives aimed at further expanding bilateral cooperation.
