Tashkent Medical Academy has established cooperation with prestigious higher education institutions in Malaysia.

Shuhrat Boymuradov, the Acting Rector of Tashkent Medical Academy, visited Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from February 3 to 6, 2025. This visit was carried out within the framework of the First Uzbekistan–Malaysia Education Forum, aimed at strengthening educational cooperation between the two countries and signing new agreements. During the forum, agreements were reached to expand cooperation between Tashkent Medical Academy and several higher education institutions in Malaysia.

During the visit, a number of important agreements were signed between Tashkent Medical Academy and Malaysia’s IMU University, INTI International University, UCSI University, as well as the International Center for Cultural Dialogue. With IMU University, agreements were reached to organize international conferences, symposiums, and scientific research projects, publish joint articles, conduct student and faculty exchange programs, implement internship and practical training programs, and establish distance learning courses and online sessions.

Agreements were also reached with INTI International University to hold joint conferences and symposiums, establish distance learning programs, and facilitate student exchange. These cooperation programs are aimed at providing students with new opportunities through academic exchange and internship programs organized for gaining experience.

Agreements were also signed with UCSI University in these areas, with special emphasis on coordination efforts for implementing online courses, training sessions, and joint projects. Cooperation was also established in introducing new educational methods through the organization of distance learning and online courses, internship and practical training programs for students, as well as specialist exchange visits.

In addition, an agreement was reached with the International Centre for Cultural and Civilizational Dialogue (ICCCM) to organize professional development courses and exchange programs for professors and students. These efforts aim to promote educational and cultural exchanges.

The outcomes of the visit strengthened the cooperation between Tashkent Medical Academy and Malaysian higher education institutions. Within the framework of this collaboration, opportunities will be created for joint scientific research, conferences, and online courses, as well as student and faculty exchanges and the implementation of new experiences. These programs will make a significant contribution to enhancing the international academic reputation of Tashkent Medical Academy and improving its educational programs.
