Presidential Decree “On measures to radically improve the system of personnel training in the medical field” (No. PP-149, 22.04.2025) was adopted (https://t.me/qrzdahtaxborot/17866)
According to the resolution:
Tashkent State Medical University will be established on the basis of the Tashkent Medical Academy, the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and the Tashkent State Stomatological Institute;
The Medical Scientific and Innovative Research Institute will be established on the basis of the Central Scientific and Research Laboratory of the Tashkent Medical Academy;
The Urgench branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy will be reorganized into the Urgench State Medical Institute;
The multidisciplinary clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy, the clinic of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and the clinic of the Tashkent State Stomatological Institute will be renamed the clinics of the Tashkent State Medical University;
The Termez and Chirchik branches of the Tashkent Medical Academy will be renamed the Termez and Chirchik branches of the Tashkent State Medical University;
The Academic Lyceum of the Tashkent Medical Academy, the Academic Lyceum of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, and the Academic Lyceum of the Tashkent State Stomatological Institute will be renamed the Academic Lyceums No. 1, 2, and 3 of the Tashkent State Medical University.
One of the main tasks and areas of activity of the University is to bring educational programs into line with international medical education standards and introduce competency-based medical education programs.
