On 3 November, a conference was held in Osh city at the International Medical Faculty of Osh State University. The event was opened by Ruslan Nurmamatovich Arapbaev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the university. His remarks were followed by Gulnara Ryskulovna Isaeva, Director of the Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan.

After the brief welcoming speeches, active students of the university presented musical performances, including instrumental pieces, songs, and traditional dances. Following the cultural interlude, the floor was given to:
- Kenesh Oskonbaevich Dzhusupov, Project Coordinator;
- Roman Kalmatovich Kalmatov, Dean of the International Medical Faculty of Osh State University;
- Prof. Manuela Konrad, FH JOANNEUM University;
- Prof. Indrani Kalkan, Istanbul Medipol University;
- Prof. Karlygash Kabdeshevna Toguzbaeva, Kazakh National Medical University;
- Rustam Nazarzoda, Head of the International Relations Department of Khatlon State Medical University;
- Rano Kudratovna Dadabayeva, Coordinator from Tashkent State Medical University.
Each of the speakers delivered warm and insightful remarks regarding the goals and outcomes of the BERNICA project.
During the Plenary Presentations session, the following keynote lectures were delivered:
- Kenesh Oskonbaevich Dzhusupov presented on “Current Breakthroughs in Nutrition Science: Top 5 Areas of Research and Clinical Outcomes (2024/2025).”
- Dr. Manuela Konrad delivered a lecture entitled “European Standards in Nutrition and Dietetics Education: Integration of Nutrition Science and Dietetics into Medical Curricula – International Perspectives.”
- Dr. Indrani Kalkan spoke on “The Importance of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition.”
- Dmitry Yurievich Grebnev presented “From Fundamental Mechanisms to Innovative Therapy: The Pathogenesis of Liver Fibrosis and the Potential of Cell Therapy.”

After the lunch break, the university’s faculty members and students also participated by delivering lectures on various topics related to nutrition science. Following these presentations, the participants visited the university’s clinical hospital and educational facilities.
