As part of the broad involvement of leading foreign medical specialists in the educational process of the Tashkent Medical Academy, by the invitation of the TMA authority, from 21 to 26 October 2018, a visit of leading experts in the field of forensic medical examination of St. Petersburg was held. The guests were Professor Yagmurov O.D. – Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Law at the First St. Petersburg State Medical University named after acad. I.P.Pavlov and Professor V.L. Popov – Head of the Department of Public Law of the State University of Maritime and River Fleet named after Admiral S.O.Makarov.
During the visit, a series of lectures on forensic medical examinations on the topics such as «Non-violent death of children», «Sudden infant death syndrome», «Forensic medical examination of a transport injury» and others, as well as a master class on the topic: «Immuno-histochemical studies in modern forensic medicine» were conducted .
Throughout the visit, round tables with the staff of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Medical Law, exchange of experience and methodological assistance in the field of organization of the educational process, as well as lectures at the Ferghana branch of TMA were also organized.
Organization of the visit of professors Yagmurov O.D. and Popov V.L. to TMA in 2018 is included in the «Plan of visits of leading specialists of foreign clinics to medical institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the implementation of joint medical advisory and educational activities for 2018», approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This visit provided an opportunity for acquaintance with international scientific and practical achievements in the field of forensic medical examination and medical law, contributed to the improvement of professional skills of the students and teachers of TMA.
