On November 27, 2018, a ceremonial opening of the Center of Traditional Medicine in collaboration with Tashkent Medical Academy and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) was held at TMA.
The event began with the solemn words of greetings of the Rector of the Tashkent Medical Academy Professor L.Tuychiev.
Further, welcoming words were made by the Executive Director of the Institute of Health Industry Development of Korea Mr. Om Yoeng Kwon, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Yusupaliev, Head of Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Korea Mr. Pak Jong Ha, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan U. Begimkulov and Ms. Shin Esuk, Director of the Center of Traditional Medicine in collaboration with TMA and KHIDI. Specialists of KHIDI, representatives of Chong-Yong Clinic and KOICA organizations were also among the guests of honor.
In their speeches, they noted the special importance of creating a center of traditional medicine in integrating scientifically based methods of traditional oriental medicine with modern medicine and mentioned that this project will also contribute to the expansion and development of bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare, medical education and science between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic Korea.
After the opening ceremony of the Center, Korean specialist conducted a master class on the national treatment method Chimsul in the manipulation room.
During the opening, an integral lecture was held on the topic «Introduction to the course of traditional medicine. Treatment of obesity, pain in the spine and joints». The lecture was led by Shin Esuk − Director of the Center of Traditional Medicine and A.Usmonkhodzhayeva − Head of the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Education.
This Center contributes to the strengthening of scientific potential and the development of research works in the field of the use of long-term developments and positive achievements of traditional medicine in modern practical health care.
As part of the project, a joint educational program on traditional eastern medicine will be developed, joint educational events implemented, specialists from the Republic of Korea will be involved in the joint educational process, the First Scientific and Practical Symposium on the integration of traditional medicine into modern medicine will be held.
Such projects help to carry out large-scale work to preserve and strengthen the health of the population, as well as to study the experience of developing foreign healthcare system and introducing new advanced technologies in the educational and practical process in TMA.
