Visit of the delegation of the Neurosurgical Clinic of the city of Heidelberg (Federal Republic of Germany) to the Tashkent Medical Academy.
Within the framework of the international cooperation of the Tashkent Medical Academy with leading foreign medical institutions, a delegation of the Neurosurgical Clinic from the city of Heidelberg visited the TMA on August 18, 2017 the Director of the Clinic, Professor Andres Unterberg, and Dr. Christina Jungk, Head of the Neurosurgery Department of Brain Tumors.
For your information: The Heidelberg Neurosurgical Clinic is part of the University Clinic in Heidelberg. The clinic provides a full range of microneurosurgical surgical methods for diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. The clinic has 4 operational rooms equipped with the most modern high-tech medical equipment.
In the work, the clinic uses advanced methods of operative intervention, such as: computer neuronavigation, stereotaxis, intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging, intraoperative computer tomography, intraoperative ultrasound, fluorescent labeling of tumors and electrophysiological monitoring.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the TMA rector, Professor Laziz Tuychiev, at which the parties discussed in detail the ways of implementing bilateral cooperation in the field of medical education and science, the exchange of medical specialists between the two institutions, the participation of professors and students of the Tashkent Medical Academy in profile internships and training At the workplace in the Neurosurgical Clinic of the city of Heidelberg, as well as conducting the leading specialists of the clinic lectures about modern methods of treatment of neurosurgical diseases, and demonstrative operations and master classes on the basis of the TMA.
Also within the visit, German specialists conducted lectures on topical issues of neurosurgery and modern international experience in the organization of medical care for the population for the faculty of the Center for Advanced Training and Retraining of Teachers of the Tashkent Medical Academy.
According to the program of the visit of the delegation of the Neurosurgical Clinic in the city of Heidelberg, there was also a meeting and negotiations with the leadership of the Republican Scientific Center for Neurosurgery and lectures for neurosurgeons.
