On October 2, 2017, Professor An Duk Sun – head of the Department of Medical Education of the Medical College of the University of Korea visited the Tashkent Medical Academy.
Within the framework of the visit of this specialist, lectures on the theme “Modern international trends in medical education on the example of the experience of the Republic of Korea” were organized on the basis of the Center for Advanced Training and Retraining of Teaching Personnel at the Tashkent Medical Academy.
In the large lecture hall of the center, the faculty of the Tashkent Medical Academy and teachers-listeners of other medical universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan gathered to present modern international experience in training medical personnel, increase their interest and commitment to teaching and developing medical education in general.
During the lecture, the most topical issues of the development of medical education were also discussed.
The holding of such events, with the participation of leading foreign medical specialists, promotes the upgrading of the faculty of medical educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the level of training of medical personnel in accordance with international standards.
Familiarization with advanced foreign experience and practice of training highly qualified medical specialists will allow introducing modern scientifically grounded methods in the process of training medical students for further improvement of the public health protection system.
