As part of involvement of leading international medical specialists to the educational process of Tashkent Medical Academy, in August 27 2018y, TMA hosted a lecture by one of the leading experts in the field of thoracic surgery from Turkey, professor Jelalittin Kojaturk, head of the thoracic surgery department at the “LIV Hospital”.
For reference professor Jelalittin Kojaturk graduated Faculty of Medicine of University of Trakai in 1989, he was passed a specialization in thoracic surgery at the Research Center for Breast Disease and Thoracic Surgery Centre after named Yedikule (Istanbul, Turkey). Then he studied and worked in various medical institutions in Turkey. From 2015 to 2018, he headed the Research Center of Breast Diseases and Thoracic Surgery. Yedikule. Currently engaged in practical and teaching activities.
Lecture was organized by suggestion of authority of TMA. Participants were from TMA and Termez branch of the TMA (online).
For reference: LIV Hospital Group consists of multi-specialized Turkish hospital with two divisions of LIV Hospital Ankara, and LIV Hospital Istanbul (Ulus). Both of them are smart hospitals of new generation with all the medical. In 2016, LIV hospital had the best success rate among all Turkish hospitals. Three LIV centers are entitled as the Centers of Excellence.
Lecture theme was: “New methods of treatment of lung cancer and other thoracic diseases”.
Within framework of lecture, there was a discussion of topical issues of modern thoracic surgery and examination of complex cases from clinical practice. The lecture participants had an opportunity to ask the Turkish specialist questions of interest.
Participation of this lecture allowed to get acquainted with modern international scientifically grounded methods of treatment of thoracic diseases and foreign practice of organizing training in this area and to exchange experience in the use of high-tech medical equipment in surgery, oncology, phthisiology and other related medical specialties.
Such events promote to development of medical education, taking into account of experience of foreign partner institutions and improving methodological organization of educational process of the relevant faculties and departments.
