The activities of the department are aimed at managing the “Compliance Control” system at the Academy, as well as carrying out anti-corruption activities. Within its competence, it is directly subordinate to the Director of the Branch and reports to the “Compliance Control and Anti-Corruption Department” of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and the Committee for the Development of Veterinary and Livestock Breeding under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as the Committee). In its activities, the Department is guided by the Constitution and Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Decrees, Resolutions and Orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ministerial orders and resolutions of the Board, internal orders of the Branch, as well as other legal documents. The Department carries out its activities in cooperation with other divisions of the Branch.

Tasks and functions of the Department

The following are the main tasks of the Department:

Prevention and combating corruption-related offenses at the Academy;
Ensuring the implementation of measures aimed at implementing the “Corruption-Free Sphere” project in the higher education system at the level of a higher educational institution;
Introducing and implementing the “Compliance Control” system to combat corruption at the Academy;
Identifying areas of high corruption risk and the causes and conditions for committing corruption offenses at the Academy;
Providing information on systemic problems leading to the manifestation of corruption at the Academy and making relevant proposals for their elimination;
Ensuring the implementation of programs aimed at eliminating the causes and conditions for corruption offenses at the Academy and increasing the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures;
Coordinating public control aimed at combating corruption at a higher educational institution, as well as conducting anti-corruption monitoring based on modern methods and information and communication technologies;
Studying generally recognized international standards and positive foreign experience in the field of combating corruption and public control and developing proposals for the implementation of advanced aspects;
Organizing sociological, scientific and other research on the state, trends and causes of corruption at the Academy and developing proposals on the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures;
The main functional duties of the chief specialist of the department
Organizes meetings with teaching staff, students, individuals and legal entities at the Academy, studies the systemic problems that concern them, identifies areas with high corruption risks and the causes and conditions for committing corruption-related offenses in a higher educational institution;
Participates in the involvement of specialists in studies, inspections, analyzes and proposals to combat corruption; Organizes the creation of educational, methodological and methodological materials on anti-corruption, including audio-video clips, photos, booklets and brochures;
Organizes sociological, scientific and other surveys on the state, trends and causes of corruption at the Academy, as well as the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures;
In the absence of the head of the department, the chief specialist coordinates the activities;
performs other functional duties within the scope of its authority in accordance with legislative documents.
