Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 125 dated March 11, 1992 and order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 171 dated March 20, 1992 established the Urgench branch of the first Tashkent State Medical Institute on the basis of the Khorezm regional center for advanced training of medical workers.

Later, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved on May 31, 1995, and Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 3, 1995, the branch was transferred as a medical center with two faculties to Urgench State University.

In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 239 dated June 3, 1998, the USU Medical Center was transformed into an independent educational institution – Urgench branch of the first Tashkent State Medical Institute.



On the establishment of the Termez branch of Tashkent Medical Academy

To further improve the training of highly qualified medical personnel in the modern requirements and standards, increase the deficit of medical staff in Surkhandarya region, introduction of advanced information and communication and educational technologies, theoretical training of future medical professionals, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan decides on creation and strengthening of educational, material and technical base, meeting the requirements of the organization of the educational process on the basis of the closed connection with the occupation of the literature.

Termez branch of Tashkent Medical Academy has been approved.

The branch is a structural subdivision of the Tashkent Medical Academy, a higher education institution with the status of a legal entity.

One of the main tasks of the branch is training of medical personnel who meet modern requirements and develop advanced technologies in medicine.
