In order to improve the level of training of qualified medical personnel in accordance with international standards, Tashkent medical academy regularly organizes seminars, lectures and master-classes with participation of leading medical professionals from foreign countries.
In the framework of bilateral cooperation in the field of health, medical education and science between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, 18-19 October 2017 Tashkent medical academy was organized the visit of Professor of the Department of traumatology and orthopedics of the faculty of advanced training of medical workers of the Russian University of people’s friendship Alexander Anatolievich Akhpashev.
For reference: Faculty of improvement of qualification of medical workers of the Russian University of people’s friendship was established in 1997 with the aim of training and retraining of highly qualified medical specialists with higher and secondary medical and pharmaceutical education, medical and scientific research activities in the field of all areas of modern medicine and pharmacy.
Currently, the Department has 49 departments, which conduct preparation and retraining of specialists with medical and pharmaceutical education in more than 900 educational programs of the basic medical specialties, as well as implement a number of programs. The faculty consists of more than 270 highly qualified teachers – assistant professors, associate professors, professors, from them doctors of Sciences and 98 candidates of medical Sciences – 160.
During this visit, was organized joint consultations and examinations of patients, demonstration operations and lectures for students of the Tashkent medical academy.
During the visit, were examined more than 50 patients with various pathologies and diseases of the musculoskeletal system conducted 4 demonstration operations and the master class for arthroscopic reconstruction of the knee joint and arthroplasty of the shoulder joint, organized a lecture on the theme: “Modern technologies in treatment of patients with diseases of the musculoskeletal system.”
The visit of the Russian specialists could facilitate the exchange of experiences between the trauma and orthopedic surgeons, to strengthen cooperation between experts and to familiarize students with the modern scientific and practical achievements in this direction.
Following the event, A. Akhpashev appreciated the professional level of specialists of the Tashkent medical academy and the desire of students to a deep study of medical science.
