The first joint international scientific-practical conference on topical issues of health and cooperation in medicine of Tashkent medical Academy, ASAN Medical center and Corporations of medical leaders.
In the period from 30 November to 1 December 2017, hosted the First joint international scientific-practical conference on topical issues of health and cooperation in medicine, organized by the Tashkent medical Academy, Medical center Asan (Republic of Korea) and the Corporations of medical leaders (Republic of Korea) with the support of the Ministry of health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Carrying out this kind of meaningful and relevant for the medical world event at such a high level, became possible only due to offered on a new level of partnership and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, during the State visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea (22-25 November 2017) and the special attention and care of the country’s Leadership about the health and wellbeing of the population.
The first plenary part of the event took place in Hotel “International Hotel Tashkent” (Tashkent), which gathered representatives of the Legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the Ministry of health of Uzbekistan, Professors of leading medical institutions of the Republic of Korea, representatives of the Medical leaders Corporation and teaching staff, masters and students of the Tashkent medical Academy.
Special guests of the conference were leading transplant surgeons, one of the best specialists in the world: professor Han Duk Jeong – chairman of the Medical leaders Corporation, professor of surgery at the Medical center “Asan” (Republic of Korea) and professor Peter Stoke – Professor of Transplantology at the Medical center of the University of California (USA).
The event began with the ceremonial words of welcome of the Rector of the Tashkent medical Academy – professor L.Tuychiev and the opening of the conference by the Minister of health of the Republic of Uzbekistan professor A.Shadmanov.
Further with a welcoming speech to the participants of the conference performed the Deputy speaker of the Legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis, head of the faction of the Social democratic party “Adolat” – professor N.Umarov and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Uzbekistan Kwon Yong U and professor Han Duk Jeong.
Distinguished guests in their speeches mentioned the importance of this conference and the importance of the expansion and development of bilateral cooperation in the field of health, medical education and science between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
After the official part of the opening ceremony of the conference and words of welcome from specially invited guests, professors and researchers made presentations on current topics of health from leading medical institutions of the Republic of Korea, which are world leaders in the field of surgery, Transplantology, cardiology, traumatology, orthopedics, gynecology, Pediatrics and emergency medicine.
The first interactive lecture in the form of a report presented a leading transplant surgeon in the world, an honorary member of the Medical leaders Corporation, professor of Medical center at the University of California Dr. Peter Stock, who spoke in detail about the transplant of the pancreas.
In accordance with the program of the conference, following the speeches of foreign specialists, leading professors and other representatives of the faculties of the Tashkent Medical Academy made presentations. Specialists of the Academy presented to the participants scientific and practical achievements in the national healthcare, which were highly appreciated by foreign guests.
Due to the fact that, the lectures and reports of the speakers aroused a wide interest among the participants of the event, the organizing committee of the conference had to allocate additional time for discussion of all topics, exchange of experience between specialists, joint discussions and bringing examples from clinical practice.
The second day of the conference was organized in the format of sectoral sessions and lectures of foreign specialists were held at the profile departments of the Tashkent Medical Academy, which contributed to a deeper and more detailed discussion of current urgent health issues and familiarization of teachers and students of the Academy with international best practice in providing medical care to the population.
At the end of two days the scientific-practical conference, all the participants exchanged experiences, reviewed the medical innovations and established a scientific communication profile with leading foreign specialists.
Holding of such kind of joint international medical events contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between medical specialists and successful implementation of modern international experience and practice in the system of medical education and science in our country.
